Hello - So as many of you know, I’ve been doing a deep dive into the Heidi Planck case this week.
I’ve seen a LOT of online speculation about the timeline: So I searched for documents related to Heidi’s divorce with her ex-husband, Jim Wayne.
All of the documents that I post her are public information and available from the Los Angeles County court system (which is searchable for a fee).
According to the documents, Jim Wayne and Heidi had been back to court over custody multiple times.
Here are the answers to the timeline that I have gleaned from the court documents.
SUNDAY OCTOBER 17: JW says that this was the last time that he and his son saw Heidi at the football game. JW said that his son texted Heidi that evening but got no response.
MONDAY OCTOBER 18: JW said that he “texted Respondent [HEIDI] multiple times to inquire why she left the game early and to see why she was not responding to Bond’s calls or texts.” He added: “In general, she has responded to text messages to me and to Bond, it was very unlikely of her not to respond.”
TUESDAY OCTOBER 19: JW says that they called and texted Heidi, but continued to get no response. He said that Heidi was due to take custody of their son on Wednesday the 20th, but “in an abundance of caution” he told his son that he would go to the school “just in case she did not show up to school to pick him up for her custodial time.”
WEDNESDAY OCTOBER 20: Heidi did not show up to pick her son up from school. JW states in the documents that at this point, they became worried and drove directly from school to the police station to file a missing persons report.
“I was able to retrieve her business phone from the home on October 20, 2021 and all of her calls get routed to her personal phone as well.”
NOTE: Was this a misprint, or does this mean that he went into the home BEFORE the welfare check? I’m just not clear on when he was able to access the phone - and if this was at the same time that he reportedly gained custody of Heidi’s work laptop.
THURSDAY OCTOBER 21: JW says: “I began calling and talking to Respondent’s friends and her boss. I called the police on October 21, 2021, and asked the police to perform a welfare check. I am informed that Officer Taylor wore a body camera and went through her house with her landlord that lives on the property.” On this day he said he contacted Heidi’s boyfriend in San Francisco and another “guy friend” who he said she spent time with in LA. According to JW, the friend told him that he had seen Heidi on the 16th and the morning of the 17th, but had not heard from her since.
FRIDAY OCTOBER 22: JW says he asked for another welfare check to be done.
He says that he went to her home “twice” with one of her girlfriends, but does not specify the dates:
“I personally have now gone to her residence twice once with her girlfriend Danielle and once with the landlord. I tried to see if I could locate her with her Vehicle. I was able to get the vin number to her range rover but the service for her car is not on, so I cannot locate her by trying to find her vehicle either.
I have followed I have followed up with the police, the missing persons report, had my attorney contact Respondent’s counsel to see if she could help locate her and have posted missing persons post on various social media platforms…I have tried to find her through a find my phone feature to figure out where she is, through her phone, iPhone‚ or apple watch, but the feature is disabled.
I was able to retrieve her business phone from the home on October 20, 2021 and all of her calls get routed to her personal phone as well. Neither her boss, her boss' wife, her friends, her boyfriend, her friends, her landlord, [her son] or I have heard from her since we last saw her on October 17, 2021.”
